Join us on this journey of parenthood where you'll connect with your partner and baby, move and meditate and grow your toolbox of knowledge for pregnancy and childbirth. We will explore how to support each other with this hands-on workshop through various stretches, restorative poses along with breathing techniques to calm discomfort in the body and mind. This workshop is appropriate for expectant mothers at any stage of pregnancy and their partners.

You will learn:

- Yoga postures to help alleviate common discomforts like back and hip pain, leg cramps, and sciatica during pregnancy.

- Breathing and relaxation techniques to be used during pregnancy, labor, and life as parents.

- Massage techniques to aid in pain relief throughout pregnancy and during various stages of labor and delivery.

-Exercises to help with postpartum recovery including strengthening the elusive pelvic floor

A foundation in yoga is recommended but not required. Wear comfortable clothing and bring water.

$60 per couple. Please register each participant individually.



Maria Sakaria

Maria holds a RYT 200, PRYT85 (Prenatal), and a 500RYT in Yoga training. She also  accomplished her ERYT designation while teaching throughout the DMV region and witnessing the benefits of her practice & teaching grow both on and off the mat. She specializes in Prenatal Yoga and offers a variety of Preparing for Birth Partner Workshops, Baby & Me yoga classes and Baby Massage Workshops. Maria was also a Professional Doula and she uses her knowledge and experience to answer questions related to fertility, pregnancy or the postpartum period.  Finally she holds a degree in Therapeutic Massage as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) specializing in Trigger Point Therapy and Prenatal Massage. She brings compassion, a nurturing touch and attention to proper alignment in her teaching and therapeutic massages. Through her education and experience Maria's mission and goal is to educate mothers and to help them feel confident as well as empowered to advocate for themselves, during their pregnancy, labor and postpartum.
