Lotus Sutra Meditation

Dates: Sunday, August 02, 2026
Location: Outdoors
In-Person

It is common to see a lotus as a symbol in many yoga studios or meditation practices.  One of the most revered teachings in Buddhism is the Lotus Sutra, and the lotus flower was chosen to represent this essential teaching because the lotus flower blooms in muddy water. Buddhism teaches that human life is like the "lotus flower" and the "muddy water" represents the harsh realities of daily life. Our practice will include: gathering, seated meditation, walking meditation and closing. This event is free, donations are welcome. Please email us at info@nimasteyoga.com if you would like to participate in a carpool.
